PURPOSE: A system for preventing a lost child is provided to seize the position of the lost child in a real time when the guardian is at another place by notifying the position of the lost child through the Internet thereby preventing the lost of the child. CONSTITUTION: A system for preventing a lost child includes a position tracking device(12) for receiving the global positioning system(GPS) signal of the GPS satellite(11) and for sending the wireless signal together with the intrinsic identifying signal of the received GPS, a server system(13) for calculating the current position of the corresponding position tracking device(12) by receiving the sent position signal from the position tracking device(12), Internet(14) for connecting a plurality of user's systems(15) to the server system(13) and the plurality of user's systems(15) for obtaining the position information by connecting the server system(13) through Internet(14) by the user.
