PURPOSE: An electron gun for a CRT is provided to prevent interference of magnetic field and eliminate the process for activating a getter by eliminating the necessity of using a getter assembly, while preventing the damage on the CRT. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun comprises a cathode part(31) for emitting electron beams toward a phosphor screen; a plurality of electrodes for controlling, accelerating and focusing the electron beams; and a support(52) for supporting the electrodes. The support is made of a non-evaporative getter material. Alternatively, the support has a part which is made of a non-evaporative getter material and the other part which is made of a bead glass.
