PURPOSE: A drum brake is provided to prevent a restoring spring from rubbing wave of a brake shoe and from making a noise. CONSTITUTION: A drum brake has a back plate(20) coupled with a vehicle body; a drum(10) rotating with wheels, with disposed opposite the back plate; a pair of brake shoes comprised of the rim equipped with a lining to contact with the inner peripheral surface of the drum and perform damping action, and a web supporting the inner peripheral surface of the rim; and restoring springs(61,62) with both ends installed to the brake shoes to support the brake shoes. Both ends of the restoring spring are installed to each rim of the brake shoes. The contacting of the restoring spring and the web is prevented by spring support parts(71a,71b,72a,72b) separated from the web, to install the restoring spring. Since the restoring spring doesn't contact with the brake shoes, expansion of the restoring spring is performed more smoothly.
