PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing glass products having no burrs, detailed shape and size, and smooth surface without polishing and grinding by pressing molten glass. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing glass products contains the parts of: an upper mold(20), forming upper cores(40,40') equipped with a slide trimming plate(34), joined to an operating part of press; a lower mold(100), forming lower cores(110,110') equipped with a slide stripper plate(102) and hinges(72,142,162,172 and 174) enabling tilting, joined to a fixing part of press; and an actuator(180), tilting the lower mold from the fixing part of press, joined to the lower mold. The glass products are manufactured by the following steps of: separating upper and lower molds; feeding molten glass to the lower cores; pressing the lower mold with the upper mold, and optionally trimming glass materials around upper and lower cores, and forming piercing holes in cavity between upper and lower cores; moving the upper mold to separate from the lower mold; unloading glass products from the lower mold by tilting the lower mold; replacing the lower mold on the first position; repeating the process.
