摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for a model test of a glass melting furnace using a particle image velocimetry are provided to accurately obtain velocity and a stagnating area of fluid according to depth in the glass melting furnace, thereby improving the reliability and reproducibility of the model test, and accurately deriving the efficiency of the glass melting furnace. CONSTITUTION: A laser generator(40) generates a laser beam. A lens(44) is connected with the laser generator to project the laser beam of the laser generator to fluid(1) in a glass melting furnace model(30) in a beam slit(S). A CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera(50) photographs cast shadows of scattered corpuscles visualized by the beam slit for outputting image data. A computer(60) processes the image data with numerical analysis by using a program.
