APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING IF IN BTS

PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing an IF(Intermediate Frequency) in a BTS(Base station Transceiver Subsystem) is provided to design 3FA(Frequency Assignment)/1 sector IF boards and combine frequencies in an IF termination. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of 3FA/1 sector IF boards receive a baseband signal, selectively combine desired frequencies among a plurality of frequencies, and provide the combined IF to each 3FA/1 sector up converter board. Each of the 3FA/1 sector IF boards has a CPU(31) for recording the desired frequencies among a plurality of frequencies, and a plurality of transmission DSPs(Digital Signal Processors)(32-1 to 32-3) for converting the frequency recorded in an internal register of the CPU(31) into a certain 3FA signal. Each of the 3FA/1 sector IF boards has a parallel/serial converter(33) for converting the signal converted in the transmission DSPs(32-1 to 32-3) into a serial signal and combining the desired frequencies, and a D/A(Digital to Analog) converter(34) for converting the signal combined in the parallel/serial converter(33) into an analog signal and providing the analog signal to the 3FA/1 sector up converter board.
