METHOD FOR SELECTING AND COMBINING UP-LINK FRAME DATA IN IMT-2000 VOCODER

PURPOSE: A method for selecting and combining up-link frame data in an IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunication-2000) vocoder is provided to improve the reliability of a transport layer by selecting and combining only TBs(Transport Blocks) of a good quality and transmitting the combined TB to an upper layer by using a QE(Quality Estimate) included in an up-link frame received through each BTS(Base station Transceiver Subsystem) and a CRCI(Cyclic Redundancy Check Indicator) about each TB. CONSTITUTION: An IMT-2000 vocoder receives a plurality of up-link frames through a corresponding BTS from one busy subscriber terminal in a boundary area of a plurality of BTSs, and temporarily stores a plurality of up-link frames in frame buffers corresponding to each up-link frame(S31). The IMT-2000 vocoder checks a payload of each up-link frame stored in each frame buffer and successively a payload checksum field in the up-link frame stored in each frame buffer for selecting a good frame(S32). The IMT-2000 vocoder confirms whether an up-link frame with a good payload exists(S33). If the up-link frame with the good payload exists, the IMT-2000 vocoder copies the corresponding up-link frame to a combination buffer(S34). The IMT-2000 vocoder transmits the up-line frame copied in the combination buffer to an upper layer(S35).
