PURPOSE: A method for compensating fuel amount while starting at low temperature is provided to improve combustion of an engine while starting at the lower temperature and to prevent the engine from stopping. CONSTITUTION: A fuel amount compensating method while starting at low temperature comprises a first stage deciding refrigerating water temperature is under 40 deg.C; a second stage calculating a first compensating value with fuel amount establishing map according to refrigerating water temperature while the water temperature is under 40 deg.C; a third stage calculating a second compensating value with the fuel amount establishing map according to RPM(Revolution Per Minute) while detecting engine RPM under 40 deg.C; and a fourth stage deciding fuel injecting amount by adding maximum fuel amount according to the RPM after multiplying the first compensating value and the second compensating value. Thereby, the fuel amount compensating method while staring at the low temperature improves combustion of the engine while starting at the lower temperature to prevent the engine from stopping.
