PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescence device is provided to improve the brightness by reducing an area occupied by a bias line and increasing an area of an organic electroluminescence layer. CONSTITUTION: A control thin-film transistor group(130) is comprised of a switching transistor(110) and a driving transistor(120). The switching transistor(110) is comprised of a gate electrode(111), a source electrode(113), a drain electrode(112), and a channel layer(114). The gate electrode(111) is connected to gate lines(G3,G4) and the source electrode(113) is connected to each of data lines(D4,D5,D6,D7). The drain electrode(112) is divided into two branches to be connected in a parallel manner. One of the two branches connected in parallel to the drain electrode(112) is connected to an image-maintaining capacitance(140). The image-maintaining capacitance(140) is comprised of a first electrode(142), an insulator(146), and a second electrode(144). The drain electrode(112) is connected to the first electrode(142). The insulator(146) is formed on the first electrode(142) and the second electrode(144) is formed on the insulator(146). The second electrode(144) is connected to common bias lines(B4,B5).
