PURPOSE: A latent heat storage device is provided to improve performance of a heater by rapidly raising a temperature of cooling water using exhaust gas discharged from an engine. CONSTITUTION: A latent heat storage device includes a first temperature sensor for measuring a temperature of cooling water contained in an engine. An inner case(16) is disposed between an outer case(11) and a salt storage case(14) so as to guide cooling water flowing from a water temperature adjuster to a water pump. A second temperature sensor is installed in the inner case(16) in order to measure a temperature of cooling water contained in the inner case(16). An exhaust gas feeding passage(18) is connected between the engine and the outer case(11). An exhaust gas discharging passage(19) is connected between the outer case(11) and an exhaust gas pipe. An exhaust gas feeding valve(21) and an exhaust gas discharging valve(22) are rotatably installed on the exhaust gas feeding passage(18) and the exhaust gas discharging passage(19), respectively.
