PURPOSE: A method for managing a message ID in an intelligent network is provided to preserve data when a system is down or a trouble is generated by managing a message ID allocation and deletion effectively using a message ID pool of 32-bit integer array. CONSTITUTION: If a message ID allocation request is received from a user(S21), an index value, which a message ID pool database value is not "0xffffffff", is searched(S22). If a corresponding index value is successfully searched(S23), a corresponding bit is set as '1' and a corresponding result value is updated in a database(S25). A calculated message ID value is transmitted to the user(S26). In addition, if a message ID deletion request is received from the user, a message index and bit value of a database pool is extracted by the corresponding message. The bit value is set as '0' in a corresponding database.
