PURPOSE: An auxiliary ignition device is used to detect flame even when the flame length is changed by pressure change of air and mixed gas maintaining regular temperature of a furnace. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary ignition device comprises an ignition detecting portion(10), a moving portion(20), and a controller. The ignition detecting portion is installed in a combustion pipe(41) radially, and comprises a plurality of ignition rod. The moving portion comprises cylinder(21) to move the ignition detecting portion. The controller receives a current detecting signal from the ignition detecting portion, and transmits it to the moving portion and a shutting valve to stop gas supply. Main ignition or flame extinguishing is carried out by controlling the operation of the moving portion and the shutting valve.
