PURPOSE: A lumbar supporting apparatus by using an S-spring for a vehicle is provided to have a fine carriage, and to protect the lumbar securely by improving elastic force of a seat back pad with keeping balance. CONSTITUTION: A lumbar supporting device is composed of a rack gear(12) connected with both ends of an S-spring(11) and slid on a guide member(14) of a frame bracket(13) installed in the outside of a seat back frame(10); a pinion gear(15) engaged with the rack gear; a gear shaft interlocking by connecting each pinion gear; and an adjusting dial unit(17) integrally formed with the gear shaft formed at the side of the pinion gear to drive the S-spring. Elastic force of the seat back pad is improved with keeping balance. The lumbar is protected safely with keeping the correct carriage of a driver or a passenger.
