PURPOSE: An embroidery machine for optical fiber equipped with a feeding assembly operated by a cam-driven method and a reel driving apparatus capable of preventing breaking of optical fiber regardless of instant high tensile force is provided which is simple in structure, low in noise, stable in feeding the optical fiber and excellent in durability. CONSTITUTION: The embroidery machine comprises: an XY axis driving apparatus capable of being moved in the direction of an X axis and Y axis, a cam-driven feeding assembly(100) installed on the XY axis driving device for embroidering with optical fiber on a fabric and reel driving apparatus for supplying optical fiber to the feeding assembly. The feeding assembly consists of a cam driven lifting device(110) for inserting a needle passed by optical fiber into a fabric and eliminating therefrom; a cam-driven optical fiber feeding device(170) for supplying optical fiber to the lifting device; and an optical fiber cutting device for cutting the optical fiber. |
