PURPOSE: A structure for preventing clothing from being inserted between a door and a drum in a drum type washing machine is provided to prevent the damage of clothing, overheat of a motor, and the generation of vibration caused by the clothing inserted in a gap between the door and the drum, thereby improving the stability and reliability of the washing machine. CONSTITUTION: A structure for preventing clothing from being inserted between a door and a drum in a drum type washing machine includes at least more than one clothing holding piece(400) formed around a tub inlet in the circumferential direction. When the clothing is inserted in a gap between a door and a drum and rotating with the drum while the drum is rotating in the washing or rinsing stroke, the clothing is captured by the clothing holding pieces and escapes from the gap. |
