PURPOSE: A tap holder is provided to improve productivity and make efficient work of tap in a lathe, a milling machine or a drilling machine. CONSTITUTION: A tap holder is installed in a machine tool such as a lathe, a milling machine, a drilling machine, etc. The tap holder is installed by assembling a cap with a sleeve. The assembled key and sleeve is moved linearly by a key. Therefore, the tap is operated easily. A spring is installed to remove stress to the tap in reverse rotation.
