PURPOSE: A system and method for a payment using a wireless communication terminal is provided to perform a payment by a credit card and an account transfer through a predetermined authentication process when a payment is requested using a wireless communication terminal with respect to a commodity purchase or contents utilization. CONSTITUTION: A member store server(30) supplies commodity information or contents to a user terminal(10) using a wireless Internet. In the case that the user terminal(10) purchases a commodity from the member store server(30) or requests a payment using contents, a connection server is connected to the user terminal(10) through the medium of a wireless communication network(20) directly, and transmits/receives data and a job request related to a payment. In a job request is received from the member store server(30) and the connection server, a payment server transmits/receives corresponding data and job request. A gateway executes an intermediation for making the payment server be interlocked with an external system such as a credit card company(60) and a bank(70) and process a necessary job. A web server processes a related job for making a member registration possible through the user terminal(10) or the Internet. A member DB is interlocked with a registration server and the payment server and stores a user identification, a system identification, payment information, and delivery information. A general payment system comprises the connection server, the payment server, the gateway, the web server, and the member DB.
