COMMUNICATION NETWORK AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A communication network and a method for controlling the same are provided to have at least two network nodes in which data are mutually transmitted through a transmission medium. CONSTITUTION: A communication schedule assigns a time slot to network nodes for accessing a transmission medium. Each of network nodes has at least one communication controller with the first scheduler, for controlling access to the transmission medium according to a communication schedule. A communication network has at least one bus guardian with the second scheduler, for monitoring the access to the transmission medium according to a monitoring schedule. The communication controller has a device for generating a global clock signal and an independent local clock signal which are controlled by at least one parameter of the communication network. The global clock signal is the first scheduler of the communication controller and the second scheduler of the bus guardian.
