POST-TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR EXHAUST GAS OF DIESEL ENGINE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An exhaust gas post-treatment system and a method for operating the same are provided to prevent an engine performance from being deteriorated while preventing an increase of back pressure by burning collected particles using catalyst. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas post-treatment system includes a turbo charger(TC) for compressing intake air using an exhaust gas flow of an engine(E). A muffler(M) is provided to reduce noise and pressure of exhaust gas. A control device(40) is provided between the turbo charger(TC) and the muffler(M) in order to change the flow of exhaust gas depending on the temperature of exhaust gas. The control device(40) has a controller for selectively opening/closing a directional valve(43a) formed in a feeding line(43) and a bypass valve(44a) formed in a bypass line(44).
