PURPOSE: A method for servicing a location mail through a wire/wireless Internet is provided to transmit an inherent location coordinate of the most adjacent geographical feature to an E-mail of a corresponding person based on a coordinate by interlocking a location coordinate with respect to the current location of a user and a specific place with a coordinate system being utilized in a geographic information database on a wire/wireless Internet environment. CONSTITUTION: If a user connects to a central server which manages location information and geographic information through a wire/wireless Internet(201), a server searches the current location and queries a map search(202). If a search with respect to the current location is requested, a location information processing system recognizes the current location coordinate value of a user recognized by a cell mode location chase of a GPS(Global Positioning System) and a mobile communication base station(203) and converts the current location coordinate value into a coordinate value adapted to a coordinate system being utilized in a geographic information database(204). The location information processing system searches information adjacent to the geographic information database having geographic information and an inherent location coordinate of each geographical feature(205), extracts the most adjacent geographical feature, and expresses an inherent location coordinate of the corresponding geographical feature(206). The user sets a location of a map(207), inputs an E-mail address of a transmitter, E-mail address of a receiver, a title, a date, and message contents(208), and transmits an E-mail to a mail server(209). |
