PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can obtain an optimum output result at all times on the basis of a method of filing output paper and the layout of pages included in an original. SOLUTION: The image forming method includes a step S122 of determining which of the saddle stitching method, the left stitching method, the right stitching method and the stitching method of not using a staple has been selected, a step S124 of executing page layout processing when an original is read, where page layout is already adapted to the saddle stitching, a step S126 of executing layout change processing when the right stitching is selected and a step S128 of executing layout change processing in other cases. Pages are rearranged depending on a mode of a post-processing apparatus in the step S124, and pages are rearranged in the steps S126, 128 according to the saddle stitching method and the model of the post-stage processing apparatus. |
