DRIVING METHOD OF DC MOTOR, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FEEDING SHEET, IMAGING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE READER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a driving method of DC motor for moving a stopping sheet and stopping it at a predetermined point in which the sheet is stopped accurately at a target sheet feed position by the digital positional signal of an encoder having a resolution equal to a positioning resolution. SOLUTION: Sheet feed is performed continuously for a plurality of digital positional signals in sections (sections A and B) where a stopping sheet is started to move and the rotational speed of a DC motor is accelerated up to a constant speed, a section (section C) where the sheet is fed continuously at the constant speed, and a section (section D) where the sheet is brought close to a target sheet feed position by decelerating the sheet feed speed significantly. Subsequently, in a section E, the sheet is brought close to a target stop position precisely and stopped while controlling the rotational speed little by little in correspondence with variation of the digital positional signal.
