PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data recording system capable of efficiently arranging image data, an index print creating system capable of efficiently arranging prints, and an index print. SOLUTION: A computer 3 sets an upper limit number of frames storable in folders Fd5-Fd7, and in the case that the number of the frames of the image data to be stored exceeds the upper limit number of the frames at the time of storing the sequential image data to a certain folder Fd5, distributes the image data for a portion exceeding the upper limit number of the frames to the other folders Fd6 and Fd7. Thus, the number of the frames does not exceed the upper limit number of the frames in the respective folders and the image data are easily arranged compared to the case that the number of the frames of the image data varies widely in the respective folders.
