PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a message without operating the confirmation processing of any complicate physical address(Phy- ID) even when address automatic allocation processing is executed at the time of executing communication by using a serial bus such as an IEEE1394 bus for automatically executing the address re-allocation processing of each communication node on a low rank layer address space each time bus reset is generated. SOLUTION: Each communication node is provided with an address check means including a means for broadcasting a transmission request command including the low rank layer address of its own equipment and the high rank layer address of a communication node which requests the notification of the low rank layer address, and for approving the low rank layer address of the communication node based on a response to this and a means for, when the high rank layer address of the communication node which requests the notification of the low rank layer address included in the received transmission request command is made coincident with the high rank layer address of its own equipment, transmitting a response including the low rank layer address of its own equipment to the transmission origin low rank layer address of the transmission request command.
