PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element having high light emission efficiency and high luminance and enabling increase of area and mass production, and a light emitting material used in the organic EL element. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a high polymer light emitting material in which a light emitting mechanism is based on the transition from an excited triplet condition of electronic energy level to a fundamental state or the transition to the fundamental state via the excited triplet condition and a metallic complex such as iridium forming a part of high polymer or is connected with high polymer and the organic EL element using the high polymer light emitting material.
