PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which image quality deterioration caused by a linear velocity change between the pressurization part and the heat fixing part of the fixing device, and an improvement in the service life of an endless belt, the energy loss reduction of the device, cost reduction and simplification are achieved. SOLUTION: A rib 16 of a heat-resistant elastic body is bonded to the end of a pressurization belt 3 in its axial direction. The shape of the rib 16 may be a shape for holding many projecting parts, a gear shape, a sawtooth shape, etc., other than a perfectly flat shape. The pressurization belt 3 uses a gear 12a at the side of the pressurization belt as a driving source. Direct drive is given to the pressurization belt 3 through the rib 16 to drive a gear 12b at the side of a heat fixing roller as a driven gear. In this time, the gear 12b at the side of the heat fixing roller may be the driving source, and the gear 12a at the side of the pressurization belt may be the driven gear. A flange 19 is provided at the ends of the gears 12a and 12b to regulate the meandering of the pressurization belt 3.
