PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device in which appropriate refreshing of organic EL elements is conducted in a pulse number driving. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a wiring means in which wiring is made so that a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scanning lines are respectively crossed orthogonally and current is supplied to the organic EL elements from a power supply, a switching means which is respectively connected to the data and the scanning lines and switches the direction of current flow being supplied to the organic EL elements and a control means which controls the light emission of the organic EL elements to supply current in a reversed direction after alternatively supplying normal and reverse direction currents with a prescribed period by the switching of the switching means. Note that the number of light emission per unit time is used to control luminance of the organic EL elements. |
