PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system easily connectable to a homepage of the Internet by utilizing simple character strings such as telephone numbers. SOLUTION: The communication system comprises a transmission side terminal 1 having a telephone function and a function of connecting to the Internet, a telephone server 2 which is connected to the transmission side terminal via a telephone line, and a web server 3 which is connected to the transmission side terminal via the Internet N, and stores one or a plurality of web pages. The telephone server has a function of storing a URL of the specified homepage corresponding to the specified telephone number, converting the URL into the signals, and returning the signals to the transmission side terminal, and the transmission side terminal is automatically accessed to the homepage specified by the URL when receiving the signals including the URL.
