PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity theft monitoring device for issuing an alarm depending on the condition of an attached unit being mounted on a commodity to be monitored, allowing the attached unit to be easily and accurately mounted on the commodity to be monitored. SOLUTION: The commodity theft monitoring device comprises the attached unit AU6 to be mounted on the commodity G1 to be monitored. The attached unit AU6 has a switch 3 for detecting the condition of the attached unit being mounted on the commodity and a male screw 4 threadable to a female screw G1s provided for the commodity G1. In this example, the commodity is a camera and the female screw G1s is used for tripod mounting. By threading the male screw of the attached unit to the female screw of the commodity, the attached unit is mounted on the commodity. The switch 3 has a needle 31 a portion of which is arranged in a hole provided in the male screw 4.
