PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent wear resistance and printing durability, high durability and high lubricating property, no crack or the like in the photosensitive layer even for repeated use and hardly causing decrease in potential stability, increase in residual potential or decrease in photosensitivity and to provide a method and a device for forming an image by using the above photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by using an alicyclic vinyl polymer prepared by hydrogenating the aromatic rings in an aromatic vinyl polymer as a binder resin and by forming a photosensitive layer on a conductive supporting body. A process cartridge is equipped with the above electrophotographic photoreceptor and at least one means selected from among an electrifying means, a developing means and a cleaning means, supported in one body and can be attached or detached from/to the main body of an electrophotographic device. The electrophotographic device is equipped with the above cartridge.
