PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a mail addressed to a user from being read by another person when using one facsimile machine or telephone equipment among a plurality of users. SOLUTION: In the communication equipment composed of a base unit 100 connected to a line and one or more handsets 201 and 202 connected to the base unit 100 by radio while having two or more mail addresses, this communication equipment is provided with a means (e) for selecting one of mail addresses, a means (c) for selecting the base unit 100 or one of handsets 201 and 202 and a means for storing a corresponding relation between the mail address and the base unit 100 or one of handsets 201 and 202 selected by both the selection means.
