<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture processor which performs quick processing with an inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: Setting information related to a sprite, a background, etc., to be displayed on a display device are stored in a BG setting information storage part 105, a sprite setting information storage part 107, a pallet information storage part 112, etc., through a CPU interface 101. A CG control part 108 reads character data in a CG ROM on the basis of the setting information, and a prebuffer control part 109 stores the character data in a prebuffer 110. A line buffer control part 111 refers to pallet information in the pallet information storage part 112 and processes the character data in the prebuffer 110 to generate picture data and stores it in a line buffer 113 and outputs the stored picture data to a display control part 114.</p> |
