PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for correcting error data that cannot be recognized by a FAX-OCR. SOLUTION: Image data 1a that cannot be recognized by the FAX-OCR are displayed on the screen of a personal computer 20 and the positions of end points 2a, 2b, 2c are designated. The entire image data 1a are moved so that the positions of the end points 2a, 2b, 2c coincide with a lateral direction reference line S1 and a longitudinal direction reference line S2 according to the designation.
