PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade an event that an inappropriate control program is erroneously written when an update processing of a control program that controls electronic equipment is performed. SOLUTION: This equipment controller is characterized by structure that header information about an equipment control program which can be updated via a communication part 3 is acquired from the external equipment, a control part 4 determines propriety of update by comparing functional information in the header information to be acquired with structural information to be stored in a structural information storage part 6 and the update processing of a prescribed equipment control program to be stored in a program storage part 7 is controlled based on the decision result when the prescribed equipment control program to be stored in the program storage part 7 is updated.
