PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reasonable management of passwords of an operation from an operating part and the control via a network of an image forming apparatus to enable the control via the network. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a print means 108 that forms an image on recording paper, the operating means by which various operations are inputted, a password storage means 107c that stores information about the password regarding an operator, an operator authentication means 101d that authenticates the operator by referring to the input of a user name and the password of the operator by the operating means and the storage contents of the password storage means, a charging management means 101c that manages charging information by managing output history of the print means by every operator authenticated by the operator authentication means, and a network authentication means 101e that authenticates a remote operator referring to the storage contents of the password storage means regarding the input of a user name and a password of the remove operator via a network and permits the control of the apparatus via the network. |
