PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably restrain decrease in throughput which is caused by a pause time being too long, when heat generation limit control for limiting heat generation is conducted by putting pause during intervals of driving a motor. SOLUTION: When a carriage makes one pass (one-way running of round trip), the current value of a carriage motor is Ipass. From Ipass and a moving time (motor drive time) tpass, a unit heating value per pass Qpass is calculated. Considering natural radiation due to time lapse, Qpass is sequentially integrated, and a present heat generation temperature ΔT is obtained on the basis of the integrated value. Three thresholds are previously set in ΔT. The pause is set corresponding to thresholds ΔT1, ΔT2 and ΔT3 which ΔT exceeds. The higher the threshold is, the longer the pause time is set. The carriage motor is controlled so that the pause time is set for by every one carriage pass. |
