PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incoming call announcing method during charging suitable for the use environment of a portable telephone set and the portable telephone set equipped with this method. SOLUTION: In a portable telephone, an incoming call announcing method during charging and an incoming call announcing method during a non-charging can be independently set. During charging, when a vibrator is included in the incoming call announcing method during the non-charging, the vibrator announcement designation is invalidated (a step 102), and an announcing means for adding the set contents of the incoming call announcing method during charging to the set contents of the incoming call announcing method during the non-charging from which the vibrator is excluded is validated (a step 103). When an incoming call is detected (a step 104), the incoming call announcing means is driven according to the set contents validated in the above processings (a step 105).
