DOUBLE-LAYER ELECTRODE COIL FOR HID LAMP AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electrode coil for an HID lamp avoiding problems of orienting the coil for insertion of tungsten shank. SOLUTION: The double-layer electrode coil for the high-intensity discharge lamp (HID) and its manufacturing method is provided. A further stabilized layer of the coil is manufactured by winding a wire layer forward instead of backward. A whole of a second layer of wires is inside a spiral groove on the outside surface of a first layer of wires. This arrangement is especially stable, enabling a quicker insertion of a shank after removal of a core.
