<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint connector capable of being embodied in a compact construction and also offer its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The joint connector includes opening components 29 to be inserted to an insertion part 23 of a housing body 11 and having fitting parts 25 and 27 mating with another connector as the mating party, and upon selecting applicable opening component 29, a plurality of split bus bars 15A and 15B in a crank form to constitute one bus bar 15 are fitted by pressure into the opening component 29, followed by insertion into the housing body 11. Therein an insulating member 41 is interposed between the split bus bars 15A and 15B adjoining each other as having a crank-shaped part, and because they have mutually intruding lapping margins in the transverse direction perpendicularly intersecting the axis of connector fitting while the insulated condition is held, the joint connector can be constructed small. This widens its versatility and allows compactification of the whole arrangement.</p> |
