PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated film capacitor which employs a metal deposited film and has a fuse mechanism which functions satisfactorily while an electrical insulation performance is secured, and to provide a method of manufacturing the laminated film capacitor. SOLUTION: As metal is not deposited on margins 5 except fuses 3, if metallized films 8 are layered, small gaps are formed at positions in a cross-section of the film 8 where the fuses 3 exist and, if deposited metal, etc., existing in the cross-section is removed by a laser beam 6 emitted by a fixed light source of a laser beam, the laser beam 6 penetrates the gaps, cuts and deteriorates the fuses 3. As a countermeasure for it, the light emission angle of the laser beam 6 is 25 to 80 degrees from the cross-section to reduce the penetration of the laser beam and to reduce damages to the fuse 3.
