PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid formation of an interface having incontinuous material concentration between layers to eliminate adverse effects on service life and reliability of an organic EL element provided with a plurality of laminated layers. SOLUTION: A material of both layers exists at least in an interval between layers and is intermingled in at least one interval between layers of a plurality of layers 1a to 1d constituting the organic EL element 1, and the material forms overlap layers 1e to 1g having continuous concentration gradient.
