PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of performing correction corresponding to unevenness of exposure and a jump phenomenon by detecting the unevenness of exposure and the jump phenomenon resulting from mechanical irregularities inherent to a shutter caused by environmental change, secular change, etc. SOLUTION: In this electronic camera 1, an aperture 6c where photographing light to an imaging device 7 is caused to pass through is opened and closed by the shutter composed of a front diaphragm 6a and a rear diaphragm 6b. A comparing means 16 prepares a luminance distribution histogram for comparing luminance level differences in prescribed pixels read from the imaging device 7, a deciding means 17 discriminates whether or not to perform image processing correction on the basis of distribution data of the prepared histogram, and a correcting means 18 calculates a parameter necessary to perform image processing correction of an image signal from the imaging device 7 so as to uniformize the luminance distribution of the histogram, when the image correction processing is decided to be necessary. |
