PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transmitting/receiving method which can relate a plurality of data to each other, and transmit/receive the related data by mail, and a device used therefor. SOLUTION: The mail transmitting method transmits by mail first and second data, and it characterized in that the first data is stored in a recording medium with a file name added thereto, and the second data is stored in the recording medium with a file name at least a part thereof common with the file name of the first data added to the second data, and when an instruction of transmitting by mail the first data is input, the first and second data are read from the recording medium, and the first and second data can be transmitted.
