PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream processor that attains efficient utilization of a recording medium and prevents missing of a video image at the start of reproduction. SOLUTION: A PAT/PMT (Program Association Table/Program Map Table) buffer 1 stores a PAT/PMT and outputs the PAT/PMT to a recording stream generating section 4. A time stamp attachment section 2 attaches a time stamp denoting an input time to a transport packet of a received partial stream S2 and outputs the result to a TS packet buffer 3. The TS packet buffer 3 stores the transport packet with the time stamp attached thereto by a prescribed capacity and outputs the result to the recording stream generating section 4. Then the recording stream generating section 4 creates a recording stream S5 resulting from placing the PAT/PMT onto the head of the transport packet with the time stamp attached thereto.
