PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that prevents, without decreasing productivity, waste toner from sticking to the surface of paper and forms a high quality image. SOLUTION: A cleaning member 11 for removing a residual toner image on an intermediate transfer belt 30 and a sealing member 16 for sealing a space between the intermediate transfer belt 30 and a waste toner chamber 17 are provided so that they are freely brought into contact with and separated from the intermediate transfer belt 30. Waste toner 19 sticking to the sealing member 16 is removed by a shaft 40 disposed in the position where the shaft 40 contacts the belt 30 by the operation of bringing the sealing member 16 into contact with and separating it from the belt 30.
