PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pull out type antenna which can slide smoothly and can exhibit good electrical conduction while preventing leakage of lubricant component to the outside. SOLUTION: When a multistage telescopic whip antenna 2 fixed to a casing 1 of a portable communication unit is contained in the inner space of the casing 1, a coil element 11 touches a support 50 to supply power thus functioning as a coil antenna. The whip antenna 2 is telescopic at the rod antenna part comprising an upper element 10 and a lower element 30. When the rod antenna elongates, the upper element 10 and the lower element 30 are connected electrically and integrally to function as one rod antenna and supply power through the support 50. Springs 18 and 51 coated with a film 18f of conductive solid lubricant are arranged, respectively, in the support 50 and at the contact part of the upper element 10 and the lower element 30.
