PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set capable of detecting incoming call priority in receiving an incoming call, and detecting the spare time of schedule when an incoming call is not limited, and announcing an absence incoming call. SOLUTION: This portable telephone is provided with a managing means for registering incoming call priority in the telephone book and among mail addresses of a portable telephone set, a schedule managing means for registering a time zone when calling is limited in receiving an incoming call, an incoming discriminating means for discriminating incoming call which is already registered in the managing means for registering the incoming call priority, an incoming call display means for ringing a calling sound and displaying the incoming call in receiving the incoming call in the portable telephone set, an absence incoming call detecting means for detecting absence confirmation in response to the incoming call of the incoming display means, a means for detecting the incoming call priority, a means for detecting the spare time of the schedule, a means for announcing the presence of the incoming call when a user is away from the portable telephone with the absence incoming call display and the alarming operation of an alarm sound or vibrator or the like when the incoming call priority and the spare time are detected, and a means for confirming the absence incoming call display, and for erasing the absence incoming call display, and for restoring a reception stand-by state.
