PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camp-on system, with which the number of a caller interruptible from an extension by camp-on can be arbitrarily set and canceled and further, a connection with the party of high priority can be more efficiently performed. SOLUTION: In this camp-on start method for private branch exchange (PBX), a PBX1 is provided with a memory for registering a caller terminal as a condition to start camp-on on the basis of requests from extensions 2-4 and when there is an incoming call to the extension under speaking and the caller terminal is set to the relevant extension, while referring to the memory, a ring back tone is sent to the relevant caller terminal. After the incoming information of interruption is sent to the extension, when there is a desired response operation from the extension, the connection of a call between the extension and the caller terminal is controlled.
