PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer current setting method for an image forming device for keeping the amounts of toner of respective colors sticking on a transfer material nearly equal and minimizing the return amount of a toner image on an intermediate transfer body to a photosensitive drum, and to provide the image forming device using the method. SOLUTION: Transfer currents are varied by the colors so that transfer efficiency and a re-transfer remainder rate are balanced.
