PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable optical recording medium having a header capable of rewriting format information, a land and a groove for performing recording and/or reproducing by using a floating optical head, wherein the floating height of the floating optical head is kept constant in all recording/reproducing areas, a uniform recording/reproducing signal is obtained, and thereby, clashing with the head hardly occurs. SOLUTION: In the header part of a head floating area, at least one or more recesses for stabilizing floating performance of a head is formed. Thus, a Rp difference between the header part and the land/groove part is reduced as much as possible. |
